This program examines the techniques to reduce computed tomography (CT) radiation in children andmethods that currently are available to reduce dose when performing CT. The content also describes the radiation risks of children vs. adults and advocates for children. Examples of how radiation dose is reduced ina clinical setting are demonstrated to ensure that the clearest image possible is captured with the leastamount of radiation necessary, maximizing benefit and minimizing harm. New CT techniques also are described.
