Essentials of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound

Learn about ultrasound principles and operation, including presentations of proper scanning techniques with demonstration of those techniques. Along with a review of sonographic imaging of normal anatomy, there will be a review of pathology encountered followed by personal hands-on instruction in scanning. To complete the course, intervention techniques will be discussed and demonstrated with a hands-on lab. The combined 3 day program makes this an effective learning experience to improve the provider’s technical competency and patient outcome.

The hands-on workshop will be offered in two tracks. The Introductory Track is designed for those with little or no experience while the Intermediate Track is designed for those with some experience with MSK Ultrasound. Attendees will be provided with an opportunity to learn proper imaging techniques for the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee and ankle. Learning will be facilitated through an interactive and practical format with the direct supervision of our knowledgeable and experienced faculty.
